- As at Feb 7th officially published ACTIVE cases as a percentage of recorded infection cases were: Globally(24.3%.) Africa(10.5%), South Africa (4.7%) & GHANA(8.7%).
- Ghana’s active cases have increased from 1.79% on Jan 11th to 8.7% on Feb 7th!.
- RECOVERY rates as a percentage of recorded infection cases were: GHANA(90.6%) South Africa(92.2%), Africa(86.9% & Globally(73.6%).
- Ghana’s recovery rate has decreased from 97.6% on Jan 11th to 90.7% on Feb 8th!.
- Unfortunate FATALITIES as a percentage of recorded infection cases were: GHANA (0.64%), S.Africa(3.1%), Africa(2.6%) & Globally (2.2%).
- There are various vaccine supply commitments to African countries. However actual firm delivery dates are yet to be confirmed as vaccine manufacturing capacity issues continue to complicate the global supply and immunization program.
- The “lives versus livelihood” strategy is Increasingly coming under pressure and now critically dependent on EVERY citizen continuing to strictly adhere to the WHO safety protocols: (a) Constant WEARING of the “right” face mask, (b)Public & WORKPLACE distancing (c) Hand WASHING, sanitizing and improved personal hygiene. (d) Proper VENTILATION in enclosed areas etc.
- If we collectively work at it, we can limit the infection cases as a % of the total population below 0.3% plus continue to keep the associated fatalities below 0.8%.
